The meaning of Gaskil is a mystery. (I think it says Gaskil as opposed to Caskil). It may simply be a shortened version of Gas Kiln. It may be a publicity exercise to indorm customers that the Gartcraig kilns are no longer fuelled by coal but by more modern and efficient gas burners. Any other theories would be most welcome.
